First Aid Certification is proud to provide a wide selection of high quality first aid and CPR training courses. Not only do the courses offered provide Red Cross Certification in First Aid, CPR, AED, they all meet OHS standards and are WSIB approved. This means students can rest assured that their certification will meet all provincial and federal health and safety legislation requirements.
Training is provided by reliable educators who are all firefighters or paramedics. These superb trainers are thouruoughly equipped to provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary when facing real-life emergency scenarios. The teaching methodology is a hands-on approach so as to emphasize practicality.
The importance of quality first aid training cannot be overstated. Health issues and unexpected injuries can arise at anytime, and it is important that we know how to approach an emergency situation, and how to treat the ailment as efficiently as possible. Oftentimes, the wrong approach can worsen a situation, but the right approach can save a life. Complying with OHS and WSIB means we recognize the significance of maintaining a safe working environment, and being properly first aid trained means you do as well. Workplace courses are offered on-site, or at any of our three locations in Brampton, Mississauga, and Oakville.
Moreover, certifications obtained for employment purposes or school programs are often very environmentally specific. Therefore, we understand the need for a variety of distinct courses and training levels. CPR with AED (cardio-pulmonary resuscitation with automated external defibrillator) is offered at a standard level as well as at a more advanced level. Both aim to teach students how to treat a choking adult, child, and infant.
Also offered is a course on Emergency First Aid, which includes CPR-C with AED. Here, training focuses on all basic first aid skills including how to treat for life-threatening bleeding. Standard First Aid CPR-C with AED is a more advanced course which deals with first aid for a a wide range of illness and injuries. First Aid Certification also provides Emergency and Standard First Aid CPR-HCP (Health Care Provider) with AED for those entering the health care or emergency services field.
